About
Quartz Play started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots of whatever mobile game was eating our commute. At some point we figured we might as well write things down properly, so here we are — a small independent site with no publisher telling us what to like.
We focus on racing, arcade and pick-up-and-play stuff, because those are the games that survive real life: a train delay, a coffee queue, five minutes before a meeting. But we happily wander into RPGs, strategy and adventure titles when something grabs us.,Every game we cover is one we actually install and play. No copy-paste of store descriptions. We look at how the controls feel on a normal phone, whether the game respects your time, and how it holds up on day three instead of minute one.,We pick games by a mix of curiosity and reader tips. Something trending, something buried on page four of the store, something a friend won't stop talking about — it all goes on the list. If it bores us, we say so.
