How we decide when a game gets deleted

July 30, 2026 · Miloš Novák

We install a lot of games, and most of them don't survive the week. Deciding what stays and what goes is basically how we review, so here's the process, such as it is.

The first test is day three. Plenty of games are fun on day one — the newness carries them. Day three is when a game either has a real hook or reveals itself as an empty loop. That's when we start writing.

The second test is the 'reach for it' test. When we've got a spare five minutes and no plan, which game do we open without thinking? Whatever that is, it's earned its place. Big Rush Cast passed this one for weeks.

Everything else gets uninstalled without guilt. Space is limited, attention is more limited, and a review site is only useful if we're honest about what we actually keep playing.
